Character Bio:

Bruce Baker has lived in Johto for most of his life. He had a career in the military, but has since retired and is living on his pension and his battle winnings. He and his wife, Lela, turned to training Pokemon together as a hobby.

Winning, however, became more important to Bruce when his wife was stricken with cancer. His army pension was not sufficient for the costly treatments for Lela, and so he decided to take up competitive battling in a desperate attempt to save his wife's life. Bruce keeps in contact with Lela through his computer and webcam.

Bruce has managed to cobble together a party through the years, and has become lifelong friends with each member of his team.

Bruce received Feraligatr as his "starter" Pokemon, and during their time together, they have become close friends.

Apmpharos is Lela's Pokemon, but Lela ordered her to go with Bruce, to watch over him. Ampharos is also good friends with Feraligatr, since they have known each other for as long as Bruce and Lela have been married.

Aerodactyl was resurrected from a fossil that Bruce found (okay, stole) during some military operations. Despite being a bit bird brained, Aerodactyl can be surprisingly caring at times.

Bruce and Lela caught and raised Metagross together. Metagross is very much part of the family, since it has been around for most of Bruce and Lela's marriage. It is not big on feelings, but it does have a strong sense of loyalty.

Tyranitar was given to Bruce when he joined the army (each recruit is given a Pokemon). In the military, Tyranitar was very well-disciplined. Without constant exercise, however, Tyranitar has gained a bit of weight, which only makes him more formidable.

Bruce and Lela agreed to care for the Blaziken of one of Bruce's army buddies while he was away on duty. When he was killed in action, Bruce and Lela decided to continue to care for Blaziken instead of putting it up for adoption or releasing it into the wild. She's a bit of a latecomer to the 'family', and the death of her original master made her bitter, and these contribute to the ferocity of her attacks in battle.
